  • When you hire the Beloved Birth & Beyond Collective, you'll be matched with one of our four doulas based on your needs and preferences. You'll have the opportunity to meet with your chosen doula during a free consultation to ensure you feel confident and connected before moving forward.

    Our lead doulas, Kahla and Natalie, bring years of experience and specialized training. Our collaborative doulas, Caitlin and Trish, offer the same comprehensive doula support with the added benefit of mentorship and backup from our lead doulas. No matter which doula you choose, you'll have the assurance of continuous support and backup coverage from our trusted team, so you're never left without care during your birth journey.

  • A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a mother before, during, and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.

  • A doula provides non-medical support during childbirth, whereas a midwife is a healthcare professional who provides medical care. Midwives perform clinical tasks such as delivering babies and providing prenatal and postnatal care, while doulas focus on providing emotional, physical, and informational support.

  • Absolutely. We support all types of births, whether you plan to have a natural birth, an epidural, or cesarean delivery. A doula's role is to support your choices, advocate for you, and ensure you have a beloved birth experience.

  • We love to provide guidance and support to partners by helping them to be more involved in the birth process. Your doula can offer suggestions for comfort measures, explain medical procedures, and ensure that partners also feel supported and included.

  • Coverage for doula services varies by insurance provider. We recommend contacting your insurance company to inquire about reimbursement for doula services. We can provide you with the necessary documentation to submit a claim. Natalie accepts Tricare, so if you're a Tricare beneficiary, you may have additional coverage options.
