Meet Kahla Jurney

Kahla is the founder of Birth and Beyond Doula Services and a Jacksonville native who has dedicated herself to supporting families through one of life's most transformative experiences. As a wife and mother to three beautiful children, she understands both the joys and challenges of the journey to parenthood.

Kahla's passion for birth work was born from her own experience. After a traumatic first birth, she and her husband decided to hire a doula for their second baby - and that decision changed everything. Witnessing firsthand the profound impact a doula can have on the birthing process inspired her to pursue this calling herself. She completed her doula training through DONA International in 2017 and has been a steadfast presence in the Jacksonville birth community ever since.

Over the past nine years, Kahla has had the honor of supporting hundreds of families in hospital, home, and birth center settings. She understands the significant and lifelong impact of childbirth experiences, and as a Christian faith-based doula, she is committed to serving families with love and compassion rooted in her faith. Kahla believes every family deserves to feel safe, seen, and fully supported as they welcome new life into the world.
