Kahla Jurney

Kahla, founder of Birth and Beyond Doula Services, was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She is a wife and mother to three beautiful children. Kahla's passion for supporting others through pregnancy, birth, and beyond was sparked by her own first birth experience.

After a somewhat traumatic first birth, Kahla and her husband decided to hire a doula for their second child's birth. It was through her experience with her own doula that she realized the profound impact a doula can have on the birthing process. This inspired her to became a doula herself.

Kahla completed her doula training through DONA International in 2017 and has been a steadfast presence in the Jacksonville birth community ever since. She serves families in hospital, home, and birth center settings, understanding the significant and lifelong impact of childbirth experiences. Kahla has supported over 150 families in welcoming new life into the world and continues to look forward to helping many more on their journey.
